Licensing, Insurance and Payment Information
Before you pay, you should know which company you are paying, what licence and insurance it holds and how payments are taken. Ask us for these details before you pay, and we will send supporting documents.
Travel licence and package protection
In the EU, when a booking counts as a package under package travel rules, the organiser must have security in place to refund payments if it becomes insolvent (and to bring travellers home if transport is included). Not every sailing booking counts as a package. Our booking terms explain how this applies to your booking.
Insurance
Ask us what business and liability insurance the company holds before you book. Company insurance does not replace your own travel insurance, which should cover medical costs and cancellation for reasons such as illness. See our guide to travel insurance for sailing trips.
How payment works
Every payment should be confirmed to you in writing. What happens if you cancel is set out in our cancellation and refund policy.
Keeping your payment safe
A few checks protect you from fraud:
- Pay only through the payment page linked from this website or your booking confirmation.
- Check the web address before you enter card details.
- If you receive a message asking you to pay into a different bank account, do not pay. Contact us using the details on our contact page to confirm.
Ask for documents before you book
Before you pay, email info@croatiasailingweek.com and ask for the company's registration details, travel licence and insurance. We will send them so you can check who you are booking with.
