Croatia Sailing Week

How it works

How Croatia Sailing Week Works

You choose a route and a date, decide whether to book a cabin or a whole yacht, check the full cost and confirm with a deposit. Before you travel you receive joining instructions, and once on board a skipper sails the yacht while you swim, eat and explore.

  1. Choose a route and departure

Start with our guide to routes to see how they differ, then send us an enquiry with your dates, group size and the islands you would like to see. We reply with suitable options, including the start and finish marina, the planned stops and what each option includes.

  2. Check the total cost

Before you book, read the dates and prices page and confirm:

    • the total price and what it is based on
    • the deposit and payment schedule
    • what is included and what you pay for locally, such as meals ashore, drinks, tourist tax and park entry
    • the cancellation terms
    • the travel documents you need for Croatia

  3. During the sailing week

A typical day starts with breakfast on board, then a sail to a bay for swimming and lunch, and an afternoon passage to the next harbour or anchorage. Evenings are usually spent ashore. Our guide to a typical day on a sailing week goes into more detail.

Your skipper is responsible for the yacht and everyone on it: navigation, mooring, safety and the daily plan. You can help with the lines and sails or simply relax. Read what the skipper does.

A yacht is a small shared space. Keep your things stowed, go easy on fresh water and follow the house rules on board. If the weather changes, the skipper may adjust the route to keep everyone safe and comfortable.

Common questions

Do I need sailing experience?

No. A skipper sails the yacht, and you can join in as much or as little as you like. Follow your skipper's safety briefing throughout the week.

Who decides where we go each day?

Your skipper plans each day around the route, the forecast and harbour availability, and will usually discuss the options with guests.
